This is my longest story to date, at least on social media. The story is part of a very pivotal moment in my life, and it’s not just about me maturing as an adult. There are layers to this story and what it means to me that I’m sure I will come back to for years, but for now, I hope it serves as a reminder to ground yourself in who you are, because sometimes that’s the only truth you have to hold. #teachers #authorlife #education | Matt Eicheldinger - Author

There is more content now then ever before, and the way kids consume it is also much different. If they have a phone, they are able to access hundreds of millions channels, much of which isn’t known of by parents. My suggestion is to be more involved in what your child watches, because as a teacher, we are seeing kids mimic behavior they think is normal, when in reality it’s very negative. #teacherlife #teachers #elementaryschool #parentingtips #grandparents PBS @fredrodgersproductions | Matt Ei

What a year it has been, and what a year it’s going to be. I have so many more stories to share, both here and publishing, and I can’t wait to share them all with you. And if you are someone who likes to read the captions underneath the video, then you’ve earned a book teaser for the following year: I have five books releasing this year: the first two in my young adult trilogy with @andrewsmcmeelkids , two of three early readers with @simonandschuster , and a very special sequel to Sticky Notes

“It’s forward, or nothing.” The first book in a new dystopian trilogy, “When the Rain Came” may seem outside my normal storytelling, but that couldn’t be further from the truth. This is my longest story to date, and it is a gripping, emotional resonant story about resilience, family, and one child’s fight to reclaim a future in a drowning world. Special thanks for @davidtolk for his inspiring piano piece “The Woods,” which I listened to while writing the entire book. I’ll be doing a deep dive in

I posted the story before 2025 started. This past weekend, I had many moments that felt like I was outside of the fog, I could clearly see the journey ahead. But at the same time, I wonder if knowing what is next is almost a deficit, because once we know what is next, we sometimes find a way to mess it up. In any case, I am excited for what is to come, because I think I got a glimpse of it. #education #teachers #authorlife | Matt Eicheldinger - Author

I’m not sure if there’s any story I can share that will help you understand what I am witnessing and experiencing here in Minnesota. The amount of misinformation provided by the leadership in our country is overwhelming. I just ask that you listen to what I’ve experienced, listen to others, and hopefully you can begin to understand what is really taking place here. #Minnesota | Matt Eicheldinger - Author

Further explainer ⬇️ As someone still new to the idea of content creation, navigating this online space has been both exhilarating and frustrating for a variety of reasons, but one of the things I’ve become most cognizant of is The Pull; the strange voice that tells you to keep growing, keep trying to gain more followers, post more, show more, trim away your values and morals in order to climb higher towards a goal that isn’t even definable or really have an end. I’ve been shocked at how often I

I’m not sure if someone would consider the same controversial take, but please consider how this trend brings together kids from so many different backgrounds. It’s easily accessible, innocent at its core, provides people with a common experience. 67! | Matt Eicheldinger - Author

It is now been two years since I’ve told this story (one of my favorites) and one that I think defines what it means to be a teacher. Since this story, I’ve shared just a small portion of the thousands of stories I’ve saved over my teaching career. Some of them are in my best selling book, but some I just reserve for here. However you find them, I hope you remember a teacher that had a positive impact on you, or if you are a teacher, I hope you understand that your impact resonates much farther
